Philip Morris Sweden Clean-Up Day

Philip Morris International (PMI) is leading a transformation in the tobacco industry to create a smoke-free future and ultimately replace cigarettes with smoke-free products to the benefit of adults who would otherwise continue to smoke, society, the company and its shareholders.

While many consumers dispose of their waste properly, sadly still too much waste ends up in the environment. We seek to help change behavior to prevent cigarette butt littering and to encourage proper waste disposal. To do this, we have an Anti-Littering Policy in place and are acting across PMI to deliver on it; accordingly, we have launched global awareness campaigns and run anti-littering campaigns in several countries across the world.

We have participated in the World Clean Up Day before, and this year, our staff in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark will again contribute by cleaning up the areas around our offices.
